Founded by the Cercenà family, deeply rooted in Val di Zoldo, the hotel is the fruit of a dream come true, an ambitious project aimed at creating a meeting place between unspoilt nature and mountain hospitality.
The beating heart behind the birth of Hotel Valgranda was Mr Celestino Cercenà, a key figure not only in the construction of the hotel, but also in the founding of Seggiovie Valzoldana SPA. His vision and commitment played a crucial role in the development of tourism in Val di Zoldo, bringing innovation and progress to the region.
In keeping with the tradition of the area, he too was a master ice-cream maker, a craft handed down with passion and dedication. But his entrepreneurial spirit led him to look further into the future. With an innovative vision and a strong sense of responsibility towards his community, he decided to invest in the valley, thinking not only of the present but also of the well-being and opportunities for future generations, including his children.
When Mr Cercenà laid the foundations of the Hotel Valgranda, he already sensed that, over the years, the desires and needs of his guests would go beyond the simple experience of a typical mountain hotel. He understood that evolving expectations would require an innovative approach, combining Alpine tradition with modern comforts and services, to satisfy a clientele increasingly seeking a complete and memorable experience.
